One of the most challenging–but personally, most rewarding!—tasks at transitioning into the Charlotte Mason method of homeschooling is building our living books library.
Since the concept of “living books” is new to most of us when we’re starting off, I thought a book list or book recommendations page can be a big help. When I was starting off, I would bring booklists from sites like AmblesideOnline and SCM to the secondhand bookstore so I would know which books are a good deal.
This page contains a list of books that can start off your living books library. For the more complete list, please head over to our Shop page where we have a FREE download of the PDF file containing the books for all year levels.
