Charlotte Mason, a British educator reformer in the 1800s, devoted her life to training up governesses in teaching the children entrusted in their care according to the way that their minds work: awakening their imaginations with the power of stories through the use of excellently-written literature; stirring up their thirst for beauty and goodness with ample exposure to the great masterpieces in art and music; challenging an analytical and scientific mind through hands-on experience with nature and the wonders of creation.
